Strengthening clinical reasoning in everyday practice.
About Clinical Instinct
Clinical Instinct was established by Doctor Billy Stoupas to deliver practical clinical education grounded in real-world medical practice.
Drawing on experience across general practice, aged care and complex clinical environments, the programs focus on strengthening the judgement and reasoning that underpin safe, effective patient care.
Rather than focusing solely on guidelines or protocols, Clinical Instinct explores the thinking behind clinical decisions — how clinicians interpret information, recognise patterns and respond to uncertainty in everyday practice.

About Doctor Billy Stoupas
Doctor Billy Stoupas is a General Practitioner with a strong interest in clinical education, diagnostic reasoning and improving clinical decision-making across healthcare settings.
His work has included extensive involvement in aged care medicine, where clinicians frequently manage complex presentations, multimorbidity and evolving clinical uncertainty.
Through this work he has contributed to education and clinical discussion across a range of healthcare organisations.
Clinical Instinct was created to share these insights through structured, practical education.

Our Mission
To transform the clinical standard of aged care for the residents who need it today, and for the generation that will depend on it tomorrow.
Because great care doesn't happen by accident. It's built by people who were taught to think better.
Our Approach
Clinical Instinct programs are designed around several core principles:
- Case-based learning grounded in real clinical scenarios
- Discussion-based teaching that encourages reflection and reasoning
- Evidence-informed curriculum aligned with current guidelines
- Practical application relevant to everyday clinical work
- Clinical governance awareness supporting quality and safety frameworks
The aim is not simply to deliver information — but to support the development of clinical judgement.
