Building the clinical judgement that aged care can't afford to do without.

Clinical Instinct was established by Dr Billy Stoupas to deliver clinical education grounded in real practice.

Our Mission

To transform the clinical standard of aged care for the residents who need it today, and for the generation that will depend on it tomorrow.

Because great care doesn't happen by accident. It's built by people who were taught to think better.

Our Approach

Clinical Instinct programs are designed around several core principles:

  • Case-based learning grounded in real clinical scenarios

Every session is built around the kinds of presentations clinicians actually face on the floor - not textbook ideals.

  • Discussion-based teaching that encourages reflection and reasoning

Clinicians learn more by working through a problem out loud than by receiving the answer. Sessions are designed to create that space.

  • Evidence-informed curriculum aligned with current guidelines

Content is regularly reviewed against RACGP, ACFI, and aged care-specific clinical standards.

  • Practical application relevant to everyday clinical work

The tools, frameworks, and language from each session are designed to be used the same day.

  • Clinical governance awareness supporting quality and safety frameworks

Programs help facilities build a defensible record of structured education - relevant to ACQSC assessment requirements.

The aim is not simply to deliver information, but to support the development of clinical judgement.

About Dr Billy Stoupas

Dr Billy Stoupas (FRACGP) has spent years working across aged care facilities in Victoria - environments where clinicians routinely manage complex presentations, competing diagnoses, and high-stakes decisions with limited time and backup.

That clinical immersion is the foundation of everything Clinical Instinct teaches.

The programs exist to make structured clinical thinking accessible to the people who need it most, in the settings where it matters most.

Clinical Instinct was created to make that knowledge accessible - structured, practical, and built for the realities of aged care.
